Severe penalties exist under Federal and State laws for wildlife and environmental offences. DELWP vigorously enforces compliance, investigates offences and prosecutes offenders. We are experts in defending such allegations.

Examples of DELWP offences:

Tour Operator and Activity Providers breach of tour operating licences
Wildlife offences such as Possess, breed, trade or display threatened wildlife without authorisation
Bushfire offences (eg against the Forests (Fire Protection) Regulations) such as lighting fires in a fire-protected area during a prohibited period.
Offences against the Conservation Forests and Lands Act (such as unlawful campfires)

Illegal fishing including offences under the Fisheries Act or brought about by the Victorian Fisheries Authority.

Food safety and food hygiene offences – eg running an unhygienic restaurant ktichen or serving unsuitable food against the Food Act
