A victim of domestic violence is charged with murdering her husband

The Challenge

Our client, along with her five children were subjected to years of domestic violence committed by her husband. Our client was charged by the Homicide Squad and remanded into custody pending proceedings for his murder.

The Solution

As a result of thorough legal research and forensic analysis, organising extensive expert witness materials and medical reports, persuasive negotiations and submissions, we successfully convinced the court that exceptional circumstances existed which warranted our client’s release on bail.

The Outcome

Furthermore we ultimately persuaded the prosecution to withdraw the murder charge. Our client was able to enjoy her freedom and rebuild a positive life with her children.
